I am thrilled with what I have learned and what my dog has learned from trainer, Barbara Nagy, of Patience Unlimited. After Jimi completed his Grand Championship I knew we were ready to compete in the next venue, performance. I had put a few rally novice titles on some of our other Dobermans so since that was familiar to me that is where we started. Jimi is very attached to me, you might even call it "mommyitis" and the method that our local trainer was using was not working. He was depending too much on the treats. In September at the Reno Doberman Specialty I asked Barbara for help. She worked with Jimi for a few days between shows and was able to get his first two legs. We decided she would take him home for a couple of weeks and work with him daily. When we connected again for the transfer she gave me a couple of lessons. After modeling and giving me the philosophical understanding behind the method I was able to go home and begin some serious training. Three weeks later I walked into the rally ring with confidence and a dog that was my partner. We finished that third leg as a winning team. Now we are training for our CD. Hi Barbara, 
David, Arlie and I just got home from a 3-month vacation in Oregon. I want to tell you that Arlie was marvelous. We took him everywhere and he just couldn't have behaved better. He is a very nosey dog, but not troublesome. He is happy to be at home and off leash. We lived in our RV in an RV resort for all that time and he had to be on leash most of the time. Twice, he got away from us and started to just run, but when we called him, he stopped, turned around and looked at us, then ran back to us. We are pleased. He will win no awards for best behaved, but compared to most of the dogs we encountered all summer, he is a champ. We three thank YOU for this gift. Arlie still needs work, and we are not great at doing it, but he is no problem with our daughter's two small dogs who come to visit once a week, and he is great with people. I thought we had rescued an uncontrollable dog when we first got him, but I was wrong. I just wanted to report this to you. Arlie accompanied us to many street fairs, etc, and he was no problem at all. We're definitely the three muskateers now, and again, thanks to you.

Our family had used a well known "puppy kindergarten" in the past to train our first Golden, but the program was just too big and the results too poor, not to mention the long drive.   For our second Golden, Maizie, a "doggy" friend told us that Barbara was recommended to her, and that she was "absolutely delighted" with Barbara’s work.
