About Barbara

Barbara Nagy is the founder of Patience Unlimited Dog Training with more than 30 years experience as a professional dog trainer and class instructor. Her career in dog training began in 1983 in New Jersey when a seven week old Doberman Pinscher entered her life. Her name was Patience. Patience Unlimited is a tribute to this extraordinary dog.

Barbara began her journey in K9Nose Work in 2010 when the founders of NACSW came out to NJ. to introduce the East Coast to this wonderful sport. She began instructing in NJ and became a Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI) with the National Association of Canine Scent Work (NACSW). Barbara presently lives in Tucson, Arizona and instructs K9Nose Work classes and is a host for NACSW Trials.

Barbara’s education includes, the Volhard Motivational Method Dog Training Camp and Instructor School, various seminars, apprentice work, self-study, training camps, and workshops with many high level trainers on the East Coast. Her Doberman Pinschers have achieved titles with the AKC, UKC, DVG, ATTS, DPCA, NACSW and Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dogs. Her Dobermans have also done commercial work (television, music videos, and print ads) for Animals for Advertising in NYC.
