The Natural Diet
The Original, dates back to 1972 and is based on sound research and clinical studies, as well as years
of practical experience, of what dogs need for a long and healthy life. It spawned
the "homemade raw food" movement.
The Natural Diet consists of raw meat, fresh vegetables and a small amount of grain.
Admittedly, the Natural Diet requires a great deal more effort and planning than throwing
some kibble into a dish and putting it down for your dog. Aside from the time it takes to
prepare, there is the procurement of all the ingredients. The benefits, on the other hand,
are absolute control over what you feed your dog and there are still numerous individuals who
still follow it religiously.
